So basically to save time and money I would like to know which RAM worked for you only IF you have used this EXACT motherboard. Select "4GB" and "Single Module" on the left and its the second last one I will be getting a replacement in a couple of days but I also want to order a second stick of RAM to see if it was just the memory that was incompatible or if its the motherboard that's defective. I have cleared CMOS, cleaned the actual RAM with alcohol, pressed the MemOk! button.I tried everything already I even posted this on here and it was suggested that I RMA so I did. for 3 day straight I've tried reseating it (on all 4 RAM slots). I've read twice on the Kingston website (before and after I bought it) that this EXACT RAM was compatible with this EXACT motherboard so when the red LED on the motherboard lit up and it didn't boot I didn't know what to think, it just stays frozen (black screen, no video output).

at first I just thought it was incompatible but. I had to RMA a single 4 GB RAM module (Kingston KVR1333D3N9/4G).

I want to know if anyone from experience has used this EXACT motherboard the "ASUS M4A88T-M". I wanted to memtest but again, once selecting the USB to boot into memtest the screen just goes black.Hi. If no internal drives are installed, it doesn't show any available storage mediums. There is an updated firmware (2011 vs 2010 currently on the MB), however it doesn't see any USB in the EZ Flash utility, only the installed internal drives. Tried different RAM (generic Kingston DDR3 2GB) Tried booting with no drives, all drives, USB only, disc Reset CMOS (jumper) (this did actually change a bunch of stuff which resetting BIOS apparently didn't do) Not sure if the keyboard stops working, as ctrl+alt+del, which would normally restart the PC while booting, does nothing. however, letting the PC boot normally or on selecting any option in the boot menu the screen will flicker and just go black. On boot, the PC will go through the regular BIOS splash, and I can access the BIOS, Boot Menu, Firmware Flash etc.

As per title, I'm struggling to get this old rig working which I want to use as a file server instead of it just sitting around.
